Whether you are a parent and love your children dearly, yet long for some quiet time away bonding with your partner or have no kids and do not wish to be entertained by the sounds and movements of the offspring of others, we get it. Being parents of young kids ourselves, we understand the need or longing for some much-needed calm and relaxation during your adults-only vacation in Aruba.
That said, not only can you find accommodations that offer that much sought-after heavenly tranquil oasis in an adults only environment, such as Boardwalk Boutique Hotel, Aruba also offers a variety of adults only dining experiences, sunset sails and other adults only activities. In this blog we provide you with some insider tips and hacks to give you access to the best adults only dining experience in Aruba and share some of our favorite dinner addresses with you.
Kids policy at restaurants in Aruba
Did you know that quite a number of restaurants in Aruba offers an adults only dining experience, or have a specific kids policy in place after a certain time? As can be expected, fine dining restaurants with 5 to 7-course menus and wine pairings are not the best choice to bring your kid(s) and most of these restaurants don’t open their doors prior to 7 PM, usually around bedtime for young children.
Adults only fine dining at chefs table restaurants
Making a dinner reservation at a chef’s table type of restaurant is often a safe bet if you don’t want to encounter small children in high chairs chewing on fish fingers and fries. Simply because these fine dining restaurants don’t start serving food until 7:00 pm, have no kids menu in place, nor provide for a kids playing area.
Examples of fine dining restaurants with a set menu, chefs table concept and -very- limited seating are Koal Restaurant and Ever Restaurant Aruba. The dining experience is that of a couple’s night out, special occasion or festive celebration. Mind the price tag, often fixed pricing of approx. $135 per person. At Royal Aruba (formerly known as Fred’s) and at 2 Fools & a Bull kids are not allowed, so these restaurants in Aruba are adults only. Restaurant Infiny offers a similar chefs table dining experience tailored to couples, however they do allow children.
Atardi, romantic full moon dining at walking distance
This restaurant is a hidden gem on the white powdery sand of Palm Beach, not traceable during the day. As soon as the sun sets this open-air restaurant arises along the shore line with tables in the sand, ocean front at the Aruba Marriott Resort, right across the street from Boardwalk on a short walking distance. Atardi serves fish and meat dishes in a fine dining setting and this restaurant typically attracts mostly couples and adults. The restaurant has an adults-only full moon dinner on the beach featuring a communal table setting, a 4-course dinner menu, wine, crystals, and grounding for a mesmerizing night under the moon and stars.
Azar, relaxed dining experience in Palm Beach
AZAR, has many meanings, it means “fire” in Persian, and “opportunity,” “luck” or “destiny” in Spanish, it also resembles the phonetics of the Spanish verb “asar” which means to grill. Azar is an open-fire restaurant in the heart of Palm Beach, conveniently located alongside the main road, Sasakiweg, on a mere 5 minutes car-ride from Boardwalk. Whether you seek an intimate corner for cozy conversations or a vibrant spot for mingling, this restaurant and bar accommodates all.
To complete the immersive atmosphere, a curated playlist of lounge background music fills the air, providing a soothing backdrop for conversations and enhancing the relaxed dining experience. This open fire grill restaurant in Palm Beach is an excellent choice for a night out as a couple or with friends, indulging in the culinary delights of AZAR. Although the restaurant does not deny access to children and even offers a kids menu, the vibe turns adults only after 8:00 pm.
Lima Bistro, Peruvian specialties in downtown
As one of our personal favorite restaurants in Aruba, Lima Bistro caters to food lovers and fine dining enthusiasts. Portion sizes are not for those who seek full plates and full bellies, rather refined tastes and unexpected, beautifully presented plates. This bistro, located waterfront at the Harbour House Aruba in downtown Oranjestad, offers a warm décor and lively, sometimes a bit loud, ambiance, especially indoors. The open kitchen is meant for family and friends to gather around, so feel free to grab front row seats at the bar. In the mood for a quieter night and intimate conversations? The outdoor terrace offers sweeping views of the twinkling lights of Oranjestad to the left and cruise boats to the right, when docked in Aruba.
Lima Bistro has a kids policy in place and this restaurant does not accept kids under the age of ten for reservations after 7:00 pm.

Yemanja, fine dining grill restaurant with kids policy
Yemanja, a woodfire grill restaurant in the heart of Oranjestad offering indoor and outdoor seating and ample vegan and vegetarian options, aims to accommodate every guest and every occasion. Based on experience and, most importantly, on numerous requests from guests over the years, Yemanja has implemented a kids policy to ensure that every guest, whether with or without small children, can have their time to enjoy our restaurant.
